Artistic Metals have a beautiful custom paint range perfect for a kitchen splashback. The paint finish can be applied to wood glass or composite panels so the possibilities are endless. Using panelling for splashbacks in the kitchen or bathroom provides a seamless flowing wall covering. It’s easy to install and is a practical alternative to traditional tiling.
The kitchen is now the hub of the home, more often than not. Usually a multi-purpose space, not just a place to cook. Knocked-through walls now make traditional kitchens twice the size. So building a comfortable and stylish room for cooking, eating and general family living is a challenge.
Creating a pleasing ambience is the good place to start. A feature kitchen splashback is a great way of adding a splash of sophistication. This will provide a modern twist in this practical yet functional entertaining and dining space.
Creating a mood of contrast or balance
A custom finished splashback can dramatically change the way a kitchen looks and feels. Like a feature wall a splashback draws the eye and creates a defined work space. And with an endless colour choice available, a work area can reflect a perfect room harmony as desired.
Colour is known to affect mood. So for that reason careful consideration should be giving when selecting the right shades. Using bright dynamic colours can lift mood with amazing vitality. On the other hand subtle gentle tones promote feelings of calm.
Custom finished samples
Artistic Metals’ finishes include Crush, Rock-face and Sparkle and they are available in any colour combination. Crush features a random flowing finish, Rock-face a harder edged bolder look and Sparkle incorporates a light sparkle.
In addition Artistic Metals produce a specialist Amazonia finish. This derives from natural Verdigris and has a beautiful variegated viridian colour.
Amazonia provides a completely organic appearance with viridian/blue tones. Furthermore the random Verdigris finish brings the natural looking world to your kitchen in a stylish and original way.
In addition any colour combination can be made and colours can be matched using the RAL colour chart.
How it works…
Artistic Metals apply a custom paint finish to a customer supplied cut-to-size splashback panel. That could be glass, wood or composite. The panel needs to be the right size because cutting after the paint finish is applied is not recommended.
On glass – custom paint finishing would be applied to the back of the glass.
On wood or composite – the finish is applied to the front of the panel then polished to provide a glass-like sheen.
The finished panels are then glued or screwed into position. This would be done by the kitchen fitter.
Finally, be as daring as you can! A kitchen splashback has the potential to make a distinctive design feature. And whether a kitchen is small or large a custom splashback can make a room look amazing.
